Join us in celebrating World Book Day 2025 on Thursday 6 March. The annual celebration of authors, illustrators, books and the joy of reading returns with World Book Day’s campaign Read Your Way. This encourages reading for fun and puts children’s voices first.
Every year, World Book Day brings a focus on reading for pleasure. Giving children their choice of books, we hope to embed a habit of reading with all the benefits that brings.
The campaign brings resources, ideas and activities that can encourage a love of reading throughout the whole year.
Each year the World Book Day charity releases a new line-up of £1/€1.50 books, and issues tokens to schools that register. As always, there’s a whole range of educational and family activities as part of the campaign.
